Project Overview

Expanding a Vienna Home for a Growing Family

This whole home remodel in Vienna, VA transformed a cramped 3-bedroom, 2-bath house into a spacious, family-friendly retreat. With three children (ages 5–13) and in-laws visiting for extended stays, the homeowners needed more room to live, entertain, and grow. They dreamed of an open floor plan with flexible spaces for dining, gathering, and privacy.

Second-Story Addition with New Bedrooms & Loft

To meet the family’s needs, we designed and built a second-story addition that includes:

• A second primary suite with a spa-inspired bathroom featuring Shiloh frameless cabinets in Kirsche finish, quartz countertops in Arctic White, and polished chrome Pfister fixtures.

• Two additional bedrooms with a shared hall bath featuring Showplace cabinets in Naval finish, quartz countertops, and satin nickel hardware.

• A laundry closet upstairs for convenience.

• A cozy loft space, perfect for homework, reading, or family game nights.

Main-Level Renovation & Kitchen Remodel

The main level was reconfigured for an airy, open feel:

• The kitchen remodel features Showplace cabinetry with a mix of White II painted uppers and Hickory Truffle lowers, quartz countertops in Carrara Marmi, a Grahe Eurosmart pull-out spray faucet, and a stainless steel undermount sink.

• A small bedroom was removed to create a large dining room with seating for eight — ideal for entertaining guests.

• The hall bath was updated with a fresh new look, including modern tile, quartz counters, and Starlight Chrome fixtures.

Exterior Transformation

Outside, the home received a full facelift with:

• A board-and-batten façade for classic curb appeal

• Black-trimmed windows, doors, and downspouts for contrast

• A brand-new roof and updated materials to complete the upscale look

This major home remodeling project turned a tight floor plan into a custom-designed, functional, and beautiful home — perfect for a busy family.
