Project Overview

This Clifton, VA kitchen remodel transformed a once disconnected main level into an open, inviting space designed for everyday living and effortless entertaining. The homeowners loved their property and its scenic backyard views, but the existing layout limited flow, functionality, and connection between spaces.

To better support hosting and family gatherings, the design reimagined the original L-shaped kitchen as an open U-shaped layout anchored by two large islands. By expanding into an underused sitting room and introducing faux drop beams, the kitchen gained 217 square feet while maintaining architectural character and improving circulation throughout the main level.

A dedicated beverage center and new picture window highlight the backyard views, reinforcing the home’s strong indoor-outdoor connection. Thoughtfully planned cabinetry includes integrated appliance garages to keep countertops clear, along with floating shelves that frame the range wall and add visual interest.

Finish selections balance warmth and refinement. Shiloh cabinetry in soft beige and pewter green pairs with Calacatta Miraggio Sienna quartz countertops, a white vertical tile backsplash, and a patterned tile accent at the range. Honey-bronze hardware is complemented by polished nickel fixtures, while wide-plank white oak flooring grounds the space and unifies the entire main level.

The result is a Clifton kitchen remodel that enhances flow, maximizes views, and creates a welcoming hub where family and friends gather with ease.
