Project Overview

The homeowners of this Fredericksburg, VA residence had their home custom built not long ago but soon realized their kitchen wasn’t living up to its full potential. Large, unused areas left the space feeling incomplete, and they longed for a more intentional layout that defined specific zones for baking, cleaning, and gathering—without overlap.

Storage was another concern, especially for their cherished collection of Polish pottery, which deserved a proper place to shine.

The remodel transformed the kitchen into a beautifully organized and highly functional space, complete with three custom islands, brand-new storage solutions, and an expanded pantry.

Design highlights include Crystal cabinetry on the perimeter in Maple Bisque with a Van Dyke Highlight, complemented by Encore walnut islands in a natural finish with dovetail soft-close drawers. The granite perimeter countertops contrast elegantly with a black walnut wood countertop in the butler’s pantry. Finishing touches like Context White Matte Rectified Tile flooring and a 4×12 Mono Texture A Field Tile backsplash accented with Lento King Deco South Beach and Bead Liner details bring warmth, depth, and sophistication to the final design.
