Project Overview

After dedicating 20 years to caring for others, this Alexandria, VA homeowner decided it was finally time to create a space that celebrated her own hard work and success. Her goal was to design a kitchen that not only reflected her accomplishments but also served as the heart of her home—where family and friends could gather for holidays and celebrations.

To achieve this, the kitchen was dramatically reimagined and relocated to the center of the home, creating an open, inviting layout that maximizes space and flow. A striking floating fireplace anchors the design, adding a sense of warmth and sophistication.

The new kitchen features Eclipse by WW Wood cabinetry, with sleek Designer White High Pressure Laminate on the perimeter and a contrasting Gray Echo Thermal Fused Laminate island with a horizontal grain for texture and depth. The Q Quartz countertops—Shadow Gray along the perimeter and Marbella White on the island—add refined contrast and durability.

Modern details, such as the Hansgrohe “Metris” pull-out spray faucet in Steel Optik and Dream Walls Cool Gray backsplash, complement the streamlined aesthetic. High-end appliances—including a Wolf 5-burner gas rangetop, Wolf single oven, Sub-Zero stainless steel refrigerator, and Bosch 500 Series dishwasher—complete the space, combining luxury and performance.
