Project Overview
Our client wanted to fulfill childhood memories of a wrap-around porch with views to the outdoors. As a result, this split-level home elevation has been transformed into a stunning country inspired traditional home elevation. As an artist, the client worked with the design team to develop a plan to raise the roof for an added third floor for an art studio, a bright space where she could paint. In the new vaulted kitchen, a glass wall suspended by steel I-beams, creates a breathtaking effect as you walk into the room, a “tree house effect,” since the main level sits off the ground almost two stories, nestling the room in the woods, along with a new primary suite above the garage.
