Project Overview
In Fredericksburg, VA, the homeowners had an unfinished room in their basement that had become a catch-all for storage with no real purpose. Wanting to bring character and a rustic, welcoming feel to their lower level, they reached out to explore how this neglected space could be transformed into something special.
The result is a warm, rustic wine cellar and wet bar designed for both display and entertaining. The new wet bar features Shiloh maple cabinetry in a rich Cocoa finish, paired with striking Black Galaxy granite countertops that add contrast and depth. Underfoot, a blend of Chicago and Cleveland thin brick creates an aged, textured look that enhances the vintage atmosphere. A standout element is the mahogany entry door, crafted with tempered insulated glass and finished in espresso with oil-rubbed bronze hardware—an elegant touch that elevates the entire space.
What was once a cluttered storage zone is now a beautifully appointed wine cellar retreat where the homeowners can unwind, entertain, and enjoy their collection in a space filled with rustic charm.
