Custom Kitchen Remodel in Lake Barcroft with Eclipse Cabinets & Silestone Countertops

This luxury home remodel in Lake Barcroft, Falls Church, VA completely reimagined the way this family lives. The original kitchen was closed off from the lake views, limiting natural light and connection to the outdoors. Sun Design’s award-winning design-build remodeling team opened the floor plan to create a bright, functional kitchen that now serves as the heart of the home—perfect for homework, family gatherings, and entertaining.

The kitchen remodel features custom Eclipse by Shiloh cabinetry in a sleek Metro door style, finished in Repose Grey, with dovetail drawer boxes and full-extension, soft-close guides. Durable Silestone countertops in Istmo provide a polished, low-maintenance surface, paired with a matching 4″ backsplash and brushed satin nickel Top Knobs bar pulls. A Franke undermount stainless steel sink and Delta Trinsic pull-out spray faucet add a modern touch, while the existing hardwood floors were refinished and stained to blend seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Primary Suite Addition with Spa-Inspired Bathroom Remodel in Lake Barcroft

To meet the clients’ request for more private space, a primary suite addition (pop-top) was designed to take advantage of stunning lake views. The suite includes a spacious walk-in closet and a luxurious spa-like bathroom remodel with custom Eclipse cabinetry in a Carbon finish, granite or quartzite Brown Fantasy countertops, and frameless clear-glass shower doors. The bathroom showcases a freestanding soaking tub, a double-sided entry shower with brushed nickel fixtures, and Silver Shadow Lattice mosaic shower floors for a refined finish. Additional luxury touches include Kohler Verdera medicine cabinets, Mirabelle Edenton faucets, and Danze Parma showerheads for a resort-quality experience.

Screen Porch Addition for Year-Round Lake Front Living

Once the major interior renovations were complete, the design-build team added a screened porch for year-round outdoor enjoyment, completing this whole home remodel.
