In Fredericksburg, this exterior remodel was inspired by the homeowners’ desire to enjoy their neighborhood more fully and create a welcoming place to gather. The solution was a thoughtfully designed front porch that feels both generous and intentional, offering comfortable seating zones on either side of the entry so the home naturally invites conversation and connection.

A distinctive rounded stair design introduces a soft architectural gesture at the approach, complemented by carefully coordinated brick detailing that transitions seamlessly into a new stone front walk. Together, these elements create a sense of arrival that feels warm, timeless, and highly personal.

Finish selections further elevate the exterior. A standing seam metal roof adds crisp lines and durability while enhancing the home’s curb appeal. At the entry, classic wall lighting — the Cambridge Sconce from Restoration Hardware — provides both ambiance and function. The front door ensemble features a Classic Craft full-lite sidelight with Bella glass, paired with a matching Bella glass transom, allowing natural light to filter into the entry while maintaining privacy and architectural character.
