Project Overview
In Falls Church, VA, this 1951 home presented a unique challenge: a previous addition had altered the original elevation, and the homeowners envisioned a transformation that would both enhance the home’s functionality and bring a touch of luxury. Their primary goal was to create a master suite with a spa-like master bath, perfectly tailored to their lifestyle.
During planning, it became clear that the original addition would require significant restructuring to support a second level. To remain within budget while achieving their dream, our team opted to extend the home’s footprint thoughtfully. To navigate strict setback restrictions, we designed three large bay windows across the front elevation, which not only added interior space but also introduced abundant natural light and architectural interest. The final design seamlessly blends the home’s classic charm with modern finishes, including refined exterior siding, elegant trim work, and carefully selected roofing materials, delivering a master suite that truly elevates everyday living.
