Project Overview
These Fairfax homeowners, both passionate cooks, dreamed of a kitchen that would let them share their love of cooking without bumping elbows—or stepping on paws. Their original kitchen was small and outdated, unable to accommodate them and their two large dogs simultaneously.
Sun Design removed walls and designed an open-concept kitchen layout with dedicated zones for prep, cooking, and cleanup. The result is a connected, functional space perfect for family meals, entertaining, and even pets.
Custom Shiloh cabinetry in Lancaster door style pairs Naval blue base cabinets with Polar white uppers for timeless contrast and clean lines. Calacatta Laza quartz countertops and matching backsplash provide elegance and durability, while a VIGO stainless steel farmhouse sink kit adds modern convenience.
This remodel blends style, function, and heart—showing that even a kitchen shared with two large dogs can feel spacious, efficient, and beautiful.
