Project Overview
A discreet exterior elevator addition became the centerpiece of this Clifton, VA remodeling project, giving the homeowner full access to every level of her residence once again. The homeowners initially came to us seeking a solution for the lady of the house, who could no longer comfortably climb stairs. One option was to significantly reconfigure the lower level to create a new primary suite—but our team saw an opportunity for a more creative approach.
Rather than sacrificing valuable living space and undertaking an extensive lower-level renovation, our award-winning design-build team developed an innovative solution: adding an elevator to the exterior of the home. Thoughtfully integrated into the existing architecture, the elevator blends seamlessly with the home’s style while providing convenient, barrier-free access between floors.
The result allows the homeowners to preserve the spaces they already loved while making the entire home accessible, comfortable, and functional for years to come—all without compromising its character or design.
