Percy Melendez joined Sun Design as a Project Manager in 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in home improvement and 8 years as a project manager. He saw Sun Design as an opportunity to grow and make a bigger impact in people’s lives through high-quality, transformative remodels.

As a Project Manager, Percy is responsible for delivering an exceptional remodeling experience while ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. His role involves direct communication with clients, managing on-site construction, supervising field crews, and coordinating trades to ensure a seamless and efficient project execution.

Certified in OSHA 30, LEAD safety, Schluter systems, Kohler LuxStone installation, and forklift operation, Percy brings a detail-oriented and safety-conscious approach to every project. His ability to troubleshoot challenges on the job site, collaborate with designers, and oversee high-quality craftsmanship ensures a smooth and successful remodeling process. He values the strong collaboration between designers and project managers, recognizing that without great design, there is no project.

One of Percy’s most memorable projects involved collaborating with the design team to adjust plans on-site when unexpected appliance measurements required modifications. By working closely with the designers, he ensured that any changes maintained the project’s original vision while keeping the space both functional and visually cohesive. This teamwork highlighted his adaptability, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering a seamless remodeling experience.

Outside of work, Percy enjoys spending time with his family. A fun fact? He holds his nose underwater—whether he wants to or not!
