Joe joined Sun Design as a Project Manager in 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in residential remodeling. After running his own business for decades, he was drawn to Sun Design’s collaborative environment, where teamwork and peer support create an energizing and rewarding workplace.

Joe’s passion for construction began as a summer job, eventually turning into a lifelong career. Early in his journey, he had the privilege of learning from a small, family-run home builder that prioritized quality craftsmanship over volume. When the owners retired, he set off on his own and never looked back. With a deep appreciation for the remodeling process and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience, Joe continues to thrive in his role at Sun Design.

As a Project Manager, Joe is the conductor of each project, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and craftsmanship align seamlessly to provide homeowners with a stress-free and enjoyable remodeling experience. He values the collective effort of Sun Design’s team— from sales and design to estimating and budget tracking— which allows him to do his job efficiently and effectively. His biggest challenge on projects often involves making complex engineering requirements buildable, but he enjoys embracing these challenges to bring designs to life.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, fishing, hunting, cycling, traveling, boating, playing the banjo, attending concerts, and cooking. A fun fact about him? At 61, he can still touch his palms to the floor without bending his knees!

His best advice for homeowners considering a remodel is: Take the time to plan. Careful thought and preparation significantly increase the chances of a successful and enjoyable remodeling experience.
