Jamie has been a part of the Sun Design team since 2017 and is now our in-house Project Manager. As a project manager, Jamie mentors the field team and carpenter apprentices, teaching them through hands-on work and supervision how to excel at carpentry. He coordinates crucial milestones prior to construction start and oversees all projects details from start to final completion. Further, he works with our client’s, in their homes every day to ensure they are having an exceptional experience.

Jamie took classes and became certified at Lord Fairfax Community College in reading/drawing up blueprints, to ensure that the production phase of each remodel goes smoothly and accurately. He loves his work and takes pride in what Sun Design accomplishes for families. Jamie’s dad, Brian Walker, has been with Sun Design for 25 years, which demonstrated to Jamie that this is a place where employees are valued!

When asked what he likes about his job, Jamie said: “I like to understand the real ‘why’ that motivates our clients to do a project with us. With that understanding, I’m able to add little touches along the way, that will help the clients love their projects just that much more. What drives me in this company, is that I love what I do; I take pride in what I do. At the end of the day, I love the smile on people’s faces and knowing that I made their life that much better!”

In his spare time, Jamie loves spending time with his daughter, going four-wheel riding, fishing, or anything outdoors. You can find him on the open road, riding his Harley at the end of the week or working on cars!
