Project Overview

When their extended family began visiting more frequently, the homeowners in Vienna, VA realized they needed additional living space. To accommodate their guests comfortably, they added a second level to their home, creating a hotel-inspired second primary suite that blends luxury with thoughtful design.

The new primary bathroom is a serene retreat featuring a free-standing soaking tub by Signature Hardware, paired with a unique two-sided wall that cleverly incorporates storage while housing the shower controls opposite the tub. Two floating vanities in Shiloh’s Metropolitan slab style with a Kirsche thermally fused laminate finish provide sleek storage solutions. The countertops and accent wall caps are crafted from Arctic White polished quartz, offering a clean and modern contrast to the cabinetry.

The bath’s fixtures, including the Pfister Contempra widespread sink faucets and single-handle shower faucet, are finished in polished chrome for a contemporary touch. Flooring and shower walls showcase sophisticated porcelain: soft matte 12×24 porcelain floor tiles in steel, complemented by Arbor Wood porcelain accent tiles that bring warmth and texture reminiscent of natural wood.

This thoughtfully designed suite balances functionality with elegance, creating a luxurious, hotel-inspired space for both homeowners and visiting family members.
