Project Overview
The clients purchased a 1951 fixer-upper in Falls Church, Virginia—already altered by a prior addition—with a vision of a complete home renovation that would match their lifestyle. They approached our award-winning design-build remodeling firm to create a spacious primary suite with a luxurious spa-style bath.
During planning, we discovered that the earlier addition would need extensive structural upgrades to support a custom second-story addition in Northern VA, which would exceed the budget. Instead, we extended the home’s footprint, carefully working within strict setback limits. To achieve the desired square footage, our team designed three expansive bay windows across the front elevation. This strategic solution delivered the luxury primary suite the clients envisioned while adding abundant natural light, two highly functional secondary bedrooms, and striking curb appeal.
