Project Overview
Located in Clifton, Virginia, this kitchen remodel transformed a once cramped and disconnected space into a bright, welcoming hub for daily life. The previous layout, poorly integrated into an earlier addition, left awkward circulation paths and limited connection to surrounding rooms. Our redesign restored flow and created a more functional relationship between the kitchen and the home’s main living areas.
To support the family’s vision of an “English Countryside” feel, the plan introduces a central island for gathering, a newly defined range wall for efficiency, and improved openings that connect the kitchen to adjacent spaces. A dedicated mudroom at the side entrance resolves a long-standing pain point and enhances everyday convenience.
Finish selections layer warmth and character throughout, including flush-inset Shiloh cabinetry in almond-finished white oak paired with soft beige painted uppers, Calico White quartz countertops, and heart pine flooring that unifies the main level. A matte black AGA induction range anchors the room, while brushed-gold fixtures and a stainless undermount sink add subtle contrast.
The result is a cohesive, light-filled kitchen that blends classic farmhouse charm with modern functionality—designed for cooking, gathering, and staying connected.
