Mckenzie joined the Sun Design family in 2023 and now serves as our Events Manager, where she leads the planning and execution of engaging events that support both our marketing and sales efforts. From home tours and client seminars to community engagement events and client appreciation gatherings, Mckenzie ensures every detail is thoughtfully managed and aligned with Sun Design’s standards and vision.

In addition to event execution, Mckenzie plays a key role in behind-the-scenes marketing operations. She collaborates closely with the Marketing team to implement professional photo shoots, assisting with staging, styling, and on-site logistics to bring each project to life visually. She also oversees the organization and upkeep of the marketing warehouse, managing inventory of props, signage, and materials to ensure everything is ready for upcoming events and campaigns. Working closely with the Sales team and Marketing, Mckenzie helps plan and execute community and client-facing events that expand Sun Design’s reach while creating meaningful, high-impact experiences.

Mckenzie graduated from James Madison University in 2023 with a B.S. in Industrial Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Her background in customer service and design gives her a unique blend of creativity, organization, and client-focused thinking—allowing her to excel as both a problem-solver and a client advocate.

When asked why she chose to begin her career at Sun Design, Mckenzie shared:

“I chose to work at Sun Design because of their employee environment. Everyone seemed heard and respected, and the company truly encourages individual growth—both personally and professionally. That’s something I find really unique and important.”

She values kindness, trust, strong ethics, and fun above all. Outside of work, Mckenzie enjoys spending time with her newly wed husband, Mike—also a Design Consultant at Sun Design—and their new pup, Petey, along with discovering new music with a glass of wine and flipping and designing furniture.
